Biostatistical Consulting
Our biostatistical consulting services have been available since 1994. Now part of the CTSI's Biostatistics, Research Ethics, and Design (BREAD) service, we provide UCSF researchers with a full range of biostatistical expertise and service, including:
- advice on statistical methods
- performance of data analyses
- interpretation of results
- help preparing presentations and publications
- help revising publications and dealing with referees
Our personnel have extensive experience in these aspects of research. All staff statisticians have formal training through the Master's degree level and more than five years of biostatistical experience, and faculty guidance is provided for all projects.
Initial consultations up to an hour are free, and more extensive service is charged by the hour. We can provide statistical support for individual, short-term projects and can sometimes accommodate more extensive support requests, e.g., 25% statistical programmer time for 6 months.
